Seedance 2.0 currently supports two generation workflows: text-to-video and image-to-video.

You can choose Seedance 1.5 Pro for the primary workflow, or switch to Seedance 1.0 if you want the classic 1.0 generation path.

You can provide reference images, videos, and audios to guide motion, style, and pacing.

Image mode requires at least one image reference. Text mode supports optional video/audio references. Image mode also supports start/end frame control.

Current upload limits per generation task:

• Images: up to 9 files, 10MB each (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF)
• Videos: up to 3 files, 50MB each (MP4, WEBM, MOV)
• Audios: up to 3 files, 20MB each (MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, WEBM)
• Total references: up to 15 files combined

You can control the main production settings directly in the UI:

• Aspect ratio: 21:9, 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16
• Duration: 1 to 15 seconds
• Resolution: 720p or 1080p
• Advanced toggles: fixed camera and audio generation

Credits are charged based on the selected model, resolution, and duration.

Shorter 720p drafts cost less than longer 1080p renders, and your remaining balance is available in the account billing area.

If task creation fails before a valid task is submitted, the system automatically attempts a credit refund.

If a remote model task was already created but later fails, contact support with your task ID for manual review.

For better output quality, focus on these steps:

• Write specific prompts (subject, action, camera, mood)
• Use high-quality references with clear visual intent
• Start with short duration tests, then scale up
• Iterate one parameter at a time for predictable changes

Paid plans include commercial-use terms for generated outputs.

You are responsible for securing rights to any uploaded assets (images, videos, audio) and for following local copyright and platform policies.

Do not generate illegal, abusive, non-consensual, or rights-infringing content.

Accounts that violate policy may be restricted to protect users and platform integrity.

Retry with one controlled change first: shorten duration, simplify prompt, or lower resolution to 720p for diagnosis.

If repeated failures occur, include task IDs and settings in your support report so failures can be traced quickly.

Confirm file format and size limits first, then retry with one clean reference image that has a clear focal subject.

Remove problematic files one by one to isolate the upload that blocks task creation.

Start by tightening prompt specificity and reference clarity. Soft inputs usually produce soft outputs regardless of resolution.

Once motion and framing are stable at 720p, test a 1080p render for final delivery quality.

Export clips with consistent ratio and frame rate first, then merge only approved drafts in one iPhone editor project.

Avoid repeated export cycles. One clean final export preserves more quality than multiple re-encodes.

Keep one language per short prompt and keep subject/action/camera clauses explicit.

Public UI features and model naming can change. Treat bytedance/seedance-v1-pro-12v-480p as a model-reference query, not a guaranteed public API contract.
